he first half of the program focused on our health and a thing called "gluttonery". It is listed as one of the seven deadly sins and I thought it was time to make the body aware of this terrible problem we Americans have; "the love of food". I suggested a club where we can support each other and share what we are doing to solve the problem of dieting. No responses yet but I am sure it will happen. Next week Val Kiamco will be my guest.
ell I guess that our Saturday meetings will remain small, but this is also a blessing. We have the opportunity to share with each other in a way that a large meeting would prevent. The two Michaels were there and we decided that these meetings were to be for prayer for the Fellowship. The reservations are around 12 at this time but we are believing God for at least 20 for the general meeting next week.
Please keep that meeting in prayer as this will, be the growth of the BMF Las Vegas Chapter. It is also a prelude for the dinner meetings. As attendance grows so will our chapter. I encourage everyone to invite someone as your guest; after all that is the mission of the fellowship.
y guest was Val Kiamco of Seed Of Life Ministries. We discussed the importance of Coporate Prayer as well as private prayer.
ell I guess that our Saturday meetings will remain small until the Body Of Christ understands what BMF is all about. This is a ministry to reach the unsaved as well as encourage the body.
I was asked how many attended our first general monthly meeting and I told them 15. Their reply was " that is good." I would be ashamed if I admited that was so. To send out 325 flyers plus the radio program and see only a response of 1/2 of 1 % is not good. We will remain in prayer to seek Gods guidance for the fellowship.
I will address this subject on next weeks radio program.
felt it was time to bring a strong message to the listeners. The theme was for the Body Of Christ to get involved with some ministry if not BMF.
t seems that the radio show had some results. A new person, Joe Martino, showed up. Joe is new as a Christian and is looking to grow and have fellowship. I also recieved an email from him telling me he is looking forward to next week.
We decided to move our location again due to the fact Skinny Dugan's is a sports bar and we are losing to many Saturdays for our meetings due to football.
Bill Krane has offered his store for our meetings. He was planning to open a small restaurant next to his Wellness Center but that hasn't happened and it is ideal for our needs. There will be no problem with meeting days or times. We will hold our first meeting Saturday September 11 at 10:00 AM. We changed the time thinking it would give us a better attendance.
The new address is:
BMF Center
953 E Sahara Ave
Suite B - 31
In the Commercial Center Plaza next to The Wellness Center
encouraged the listeners to consider becoming members, if they were thinking of doing so, before Bill Schuck and Bill Kieth come in October. I also talked about the new location.
Yolanda called in and asked for prayer for family unity.
ur meetings are starting to grow. Steven attended and told us he found our address on an Answer Magazine in the Christian Book Store. Michael had placed the magazines there.
After a time of sharing and prayer a few of us went to the new meeting place, BMF Center , and washed down the tables and chairs and floor. I put up a few signs in the windows to let everyone know we will be meeting there starting September 11th. There is also a banner "His Banner Over Us Is Love" on the wall. The room is really beginning to look like a good place for our meetings.
Again many thanks to Bill and Joan Krane for letting us meet there. Joan also gave a $40.00 offering so we could buy cleaning supplies and whatever else we needed. May the Lord richly bless both of them.
