ell I believe that we are really starting to grow. Nine persons attending the breakfast meeting. Michael Kelly, who drove in from Pahrump, renewed his membership for two years. We had praise and worship, a good breakfast, fellowship and ended in prayer.

I discussd lining up speakers for the dinner banquet meetings. I know this may be premature but I also know speakers are booked in advance. We need to step out in faith and believe that God will supply all we need.

Don't forget to continue praying for the growth of the chapter.

huck Damato, President of the 1000 Oaks Chapter in California was my guest. We discussed the upcoming convention in the San Franscio Bay area, July 15 - 17. Guests Speakes will be:

Napoleon Kaufman was a first round draft pick by the Oakland Raiders in 1995. A lucrative contract and becoming an NFL standout in his rookie year further accelerated his fame and fortune. He thought he "had it all". Money, athletic stardom, big house, fancy car, what more could a poor underprivileged kid ask for? "Through it all, I felt empty inside," he says. "After the initial happiness, football, fame, money just didn't satisfy me anymore." Come hear an amazing story about a tough kid turned sports hero and what a tremendous difference one persori can make.

Doug Mazza. As the senior American executive for American Suzuki Motor Corporation, Doug authored the marketing plan that successfully launched Suzuki automobiles in this United States. Under his leadership the Suzuki Samurai was named one of the top 10 marketed products in the United States and became the subject of a Harvard case study.

Mr, Mazza later joined Hyundai Motor America as its top American executive, serving five years as Chief Operating Officer.

Long a dedicated volunteer with a variety of non profit organizations that meet the human needs locally and nationally, Doug and his wife, Lorraine, made a life changing decision when Doug left industry to answer a calling to full time Christian ministry.

Doug is now the President of the international outreach, Joni and Friends. Founded by visionary, author, artist and quadriplegic, Joni Eareckson Tada, Joni and Friends serves those affected by disabilities and their families in the United States, western and eastern Europe, China, India, Affica and South America. Life Magazine and NBC Television have featured one of many Joni and Friends programs, Wheels for the World, that establishes wheelchair restoration centers in American prisons and provides restored wheelchairs to disabled people throughout the world.

The story of Doug's life experience with his disabled son Ryan has been the subject of a nationally broadcast television show.

Doug has been the recipient of a national award from the organization Women Against Violence in the Media for his public stance against sexism and for family values. An Otterbein College graduate, Doug and Lorraine movedto Woodland Hills, California where they attend Rocky Peak Church.

Marlene Klepees was born with Cerebral Palsy and orphaned by the age of two. At 18, she had become quadriplegic and was barely able to communicate. While in the nursing home where she thought she would have to spend the rest of her fife, God gave her a vision that He would heal her on March 29,1981. Come here her dynamic story of God's miraculous touch.
